Music Video Pitch Feedback
Evaluation from our pitch:
We decided to keep our ideas the same as the pitch worked well and we had a great response from our peers. The demographic of our class is the demographic our video is aimed at, therefore we feel that the video encodes the conventions that are successful to the genre. The mis-en-scene that we decided to use in our video demonstrated to be extremely fitting for the genre and therefore proved successful in the pitch. The urban feel of the locations, juxtaposed with imagery of epping forest means that the video has a contemporary diverse atmosphere. This hopefully is trying to construct the diverse image that Jhus tries to convey in his videos. Jhus does embed some of the stereotypical gender roles which overtly sexualises women, this is something we have chosen to subverse as the video can be successful without such conventions.
The case studies has definitely enabled me to ensure that the video is planned and produced using all the essential elements of this genre. I think we have tried to be original, yet still successfully appeal to the niche demographic.
How will we improve our idea?:
To make our video differ from the traditional Jhus hip-hop video, we are planning on using smoke flares in some of our shots, this will have a great effect as it goes along with the lyrics and overall sound of the song.

Recce
location 1- Brick lane
location 2 - Street setting

location 3 - Epping forest
Here we will be using the forest to film our video we plan on getting some unique shot with good lighting which may be difficult
location 4 - graffiti area 2
This is the second graffiti area we plan on using becuase it will give the video beautiful visuals. furthermore its a nice calm area meaning that we willnot have to worry about getting disrupted during our filming
location 1- Brick lane
In brick lane we plan on using an area which if full of graffiti. its a long area filled with amazing graffiti and we believe this will be perfect for our music video because gives the video great visual and makes it look more professional and unique

Practice synch video
Evaluation
What have you enjoyed?
I enjoyed filming and producing the video as it was fun being the model and making a video which gives me a slight glimpse of what its like to be an actual singer.
What have you learnt?
I learned how to use premier pro and how to properly record and edit a music video with some basic effect. i only learned how to properly use a camera to record good videos.
What were the major challenges?
some of the major challenges i faced were matching the lip singing to the actual song as it is very difficult as you have to get the music and the video and the exact point. another challenge we faced was finding good location to film which is another issues i may face in my actual final product.
What do you think the major challenges will be in your actual production?
the major problems that i think will be challenging in my actual final product would be finding all the right location and props to make a realistic looking music video as it important to have a good mise en scene in a music video. another challenge would be editing as it was rather difficult editing a 30 second music video whereas in the real production it will be 2 minute video.
Improvements
we could have improved the mise end scene as we had basic backgrounds due to the fact that we were restricted to using places in the college. we also could have improved the video in general by adding more effect effect in order to make it look more professional. we could have also improved with camera shots as we only used 2 types of shots (medium shot and medium long shot).
